Research Triangle Park, NC.

“Current and Future Issues in Environmental Toxicology”



  • Randy Jirtle  (Radiation Oncology, Duke University) presented a talk entitled “Epigenetics: The New Genetics of Toxicology.” 
  • Andrew Maynard (Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Smithsonian Institution) discussed emerging nanotechnologies.

  • Ann Richard (National Center for Computational Toxicology, US EPA)  presented a talk on computational chemistry relating to environmental toxicology and structure-activity relationships.

  • Junior scientists from the Triangle competed for travel and scientific awards and presented their work (via platform talks; poster session).
